I know these PVs have been out quite some time ago, but I kept forgetting to post them here. So I figured now is a good time as any.

Just Break The Limit!

Now all I have to do is wait patiently till the single comes out, which is on the 10th of June.

First and foremost, I don’t own these Fanart. I took them from DeviantArt.

I was so bored because there was nothing to do and there were no interesting panels or pages to colour from the original manga chapter, be it Naruto or any other manga. I had to wait till Friday or Saturday before new chapters are released, so in the meantime, I thought I’d colour something else.

You may notice that the ‘layout’ of credits on them are a bit different from my previous works. That’s because I thought that I should differentiate Fanart from the original manga panels or pages. Oh, and I’m using a different image hosting site. Imageshack dies on me sometimes, so maybe this would be better.

Very anime-like, I’d say. I think it looks okay. The background was pretty much random, but then again, all of my colourations have random backgrounds. These images are in JPEG format because the PNG files were too big, so it’ll look a bit blurred.

My first Chibi colouring! I liked how this turned out. Especially the background. Okay, so I googled the image…but at least it fits the picture. Oh, and I changed the original speech bubble to “Dattebayo!” instead of “To Attack!” because then, the background wouldn’t fit.

I have a couple more linearts stored in my computer. I may or may not colour them, depending on my mood.

Oh, and I’m still dwelling on whether or not I should buy a tablet. If I buy it, then I could give soft-shading a go, but there’s also the possibility that the outcome might not be nice and then the money would go to waste.

Got home. Went to MangaShare. Downloaded Naruto Chapter 402. Was bored. Went to MangaHelpers. Lineart was available (Credits to Ziaja). So why not colour?

So here’s another Sasuke colouring (from Chapter 402, Page 17)……With his new Sharingan!!

Nothing much to say about this. But I think the shading of the hair is too dark, you can hardly see it (But I think that’s because I added a layer on top of it to not make the lines look too sharpened). The background is plain because I have no idea what to do with it. I added the glow to the sharingan because otherwise it’ll look really plain. Overall, this piece is pretty simple and plain.

I think I should buy a tablet so that I can try doing soft-shading instead of cell-shading, but I don’t know whether to buy it now, or after ‘O’ Levels or something.

Anyways, I really really hope that this chapter concludes the Sasuke arc and the plot will finally move on.

Oh, one more thing, Sasuke’s new sharingan looks so weird, like a flower or an atom or something. I think Kakashi’s Mangekyou Sharingan looks the nicest, followed by Itachi, Madara and then Sasuke.

Thank goodness today’s Monday. What’s so special about Monday? Code Geass R2 subbed version comes out today! Yes, I’m a fanatic. So? After a week of not watching anime, Code Geass is a nice way to start things off.

Besides Code Geass, another way to get my mind off Malay is game. I went out yesterday to WestMall in hopes of finding the game “The World Ends With You”. (What was I doing out when I was supposed to be studying? Well, I just couldn’t take any more Malay.) Sadly, I couldn’t find it in Comics Connection.

So I decided to search for it someplace else today, but I need to go for some Barbeque Party thingy. Maybe it’s still possible to go to IMM after the BBQ, but that’s if my father is not tired. If today’s no good, then perhaps Tuesday, after my remedial, or some other day. If that’s no good either, then I’ll go to Parkway Parade on Saturday. Either way, by Sunday, I should have the game, if I find it. If not, then too bad for me.

Just took it today. And not feeling too happy about it.

Paper 1 was okay. I had something to write about and wrote quite a lot for Section 2. I just hope it’s full of content and not crap. I’ve always sucked at elaborating, so yeah.

Paper 2 was the same as every other Paper 2 I’ve done as practices (excluding Past Year Papers between 2000 and 2004 - those were rather easy). I think with luck, I can get a B and if by some chance a miracle does befall upon me, then an A. I doubt I can get and A though.

I won’t go into details because it’s troublesome and I don’t want to know how much marks I lost because it may erase what small flicker of hope I have of getting an A.

Anyway, I’ll save the worry of whether to retake this paper for a later time.

While I was waiting for my mother to finish checking a Malay Paper that I did, I had a sudden inspiration to create a signature. Well, I was browsing a forum and came across a signature that looks nice, so that’s where the inspiration came from.

Rendering was troublesome and so was searching for a render on the net, so I just used what renders I have.

Creating this was much more troublesome than I originally thought. I had quite a few problems along the way, the blending of the render with the background was especially troublesome, but I somehow managed to pull through.

Here’s the gist of the steps.
The background is mostly made up of a couple of Grunge brushes with distorted images of the render on Color Dodge on top of the brushes. Duplicates of the render on top of one another with different filters and on Overlay at different opacities and added a lighting effect. The first version was finished with a Color Balance adjustment layer. The second version also had a Color Balance adjustment layer, but underneath that layer was a white background set on Saturation.

I’m quite pleased with the overall outcome. It wasn’t really what I had in mind but it turned out pretty nicely. I’ve improved, I’d say. But that may just be luck.

Well, time to study…..again.

Yeah, well, I named this post “Fillers” because I am currently taking a break from studying. ‘Studying’ here refers to the main ‘plot’ and this ‘break’ is something that is not included in the main ‘plot’. Hence, “fillers”. (This is a reference to a commonly used term for some plots in Animes that are adapted from Mangas.)

Well, even if you didn’t get it, all that there is to know is that I’m taking a rest from studying for the GCE “O” Level Mother Tongue paper that is to be taken on Monday the 26th of May. I did a bit of studying in the afternoon though, before going to sleep that is.

I haven’t really been updating because I’ve been too busy and tired. Since I’m resting now, why not post something? But there’s nothing much going on, really. I didn’t even watched any anime. Okay, so maybe one or two episodes just now, but that’s all for this week. Okay, so I watched Code Geass on Monday, but….whatever.

So what did I do?

I watched videos of Pandas on Youtube. Don’t ask. They’re cute. Especially baby ones. When they’re running. And standing.

I also sketched a couple of pictures. I think I’ll upload them, along with the one of Kyrios I did about a month ago, if I have time at a later date.

I also received my Report Book today. But I won’t bother rambling about them because it’s more or less the same as my Results.

Coloured this one pretty fast. There was nothing much to do today (I didn’t go out today, so couldn’t buy the game…) and coincidentally, the cover page of this week’s Naruto was rather nice to colour. In addition to that, there was already a lineart available. So might as well colour it.

Here’s my colouration, featuring; Itachi, Sasuke and Madara Uchiha (otherwise known as Tobi).

I prefer version one to version two. I wanted to give version two a blue-ish hue, but it didn’t turn out as nice as I pictured it. Still looks okay though.

I hope Kishimoto will move on to the next part of the story already. The recent chapters about Sasuke, Itachi and Uchiha stuff are all so boring….
